  • The More You Think About Not Eating…

… the more you become obsessed with food!

Since Christmas season last year, I have not stopped eating. And it is not doing me any good. I go for yoga, maybe 3 to 4 hours a week, but that’s not helping. I seem to still be stacking on the pounds.

Number of calories I burn in a day – 1451, since I only have VERY light activity. This also takes my weight and age in to account.
You can go here for your metabolism calculator.

And there is also a weight loss calculator, see here.
And so I keyed in the amount of weight I wanted to lose, and that meant I’d have to cut back on 500 calories a day, and this is supposedly not advisable, based on this website. I think this is really dumb.

Pfftttt! What do they know? After all, I just want to get back to my original weight! Is that too much to ask?

So I found another website, here.
This, calculates my daily calorie deficit required to reach my goal and I get to key-in the timeline in which I would like to reach my goal weight. I key-in one month. I am ambitious.

My diet started yesterday. I plan to lose the weight that I’ve gained over the next one month. Fingers crossed.

I am thinking I just need to get past the first few days, and it will get easier. After all, we always need to push ourselves a little harder at the beginning, right? And then once you start seeing the results, you’ll be so pleased, you’ll just push through.

My diet is going to consist mostly of fruits and vegetables for the next 5 days. No refined carbs, definitely. Some lean chicken and fish, and eggs. And I reckon I deserve one pig-out meal a week. Only ONE. This method is said to be adopted by celebrities, I saw this on Channel E! so as not to be overly deprived.

    Monday:
    6 almonds, 7 calories each – 42 calories
    2 oat drinks – 300 calories
    1 BIG apple – 80 calories
Vegetables and egg for dinner – approx. 500 calories
    TOTAL CALORIES – 922 calories.

I have just made it with 500 calories less

    Tuesday:
    2 hardboiled eggs – 140 calories
Small slice of toast, and some cheese – 134 calories
    1 Guava – 90 calories
    6 almonds – 42 calories
Clear fish soup with fish – 250 calories
    Vegetables – 150 calories
    TOTAL CALORIES – 806

    I’m getting better at this.

    I will survive!

  • Irritating Emails

I received this email over the weekend – and it really annoyed the hell out of me. It’s really no big deal, but the least this person could do was write properly. I am just as sad as this person, because I actually replied his email.

And my spur of the moment reply to him, whilst I was very annoyed:

I have not a clue what you are trying to say. I wish you all the best in your future undertakings, starting with improving your language skills.

  • Make-up Madness!

Another item – 2 items, no – THREE items to be exact – to add to my massive collection of make-up.

I am in zit zone. I am going through some stage in my life, that is causing me to have more break-outs than usual. So I needed concealer. This, from Laura Mercier, I’ve read in numerous magazines, is a favourite of all time!

And it’s really quite easy to use. Just blend, blend the 2 colours, till you get the exact shade for your skin, then dab dab with the special concealer brush. Oh! Instant coverage for zits, and fine lines.

And for just additional RM35 – I get this eye concealer (which, by the way, is also highly recommended in a lot of magazines). It comes as a special set – when you buy the concealer brush. The eye concealer will cover my eye bags. (And I will use Eye Bright on top, so I have bright eyes with no dark circles under my eyes).

These are my other 2 NEW favourite products. They really do work – I’d like to think so.

It’s like playing with Photoshop on my face! Bless the person that invented make-up.

Number of times I’ve used all said items since I bought them last week?

    ONE.

  • Eye Bright from Benefit

    I am a sucker for make-up.

And I didn’t really need this – but it is suppose to make my eyes look BRIGHTER!

So, you draw it around your eyes, like this… Shaped like a fish.

I am not sure if you can see the white outline around my eyes. But I almost went blind (from exposure to the camera flash) taking this photo of my eye, trying to illustrate how it is done. Yet obvious again, I have no talent for phtography.

Then dab, dab, dab, blending it in. But don’t rub.

Voila! Brighter eyes! Does it work? I think it does, subtly. Brings life in to my eyes, if I may say so. Or I’d be looking like a dead fish?

These 2 other items from Benefit that I cannot live without – giving me my healthy rosy hue – naturally blushing.

    Champion sucker for make-up!

  • Sweets!

    Dessert cravings?

Bakerzin at Bangsar Village 1, Dessert Buffet, Mondays to Fridays from 7pm (they close at 11pm). RM30++ per person.

No pictures, but their dessert is made only when you order. So it’s SOMEWHAT fresh. And all mini sizes so you’re not too overwhelmed till the end – when you cannot move and feel like puking and have ice cream coming out of your ears.

Most of their dessert comes with a scoop of ice cream. So, I probanly had 8 scoops of ice cream in total! OMG! Oink-oink-oink.

My favourite – creme brulee (pistachio and vanilla), warm chocolate cake with ice cream, raspberry souffl’ee with ice cream (they also have chocolate and grand marnier), warm apple tart also with ice cream… And a whole lot of other desserts.

The verdict – 0.5kg’s heavier the next morning.
