  • Singapore

After 10 days away from Voon – I met him in Singapore after his school week.

It was the Great Singapore Sales – and Orchard was absolutely packed!!! I think everyone in S’pore was in Orchard.

We got to stay at Resort World Sentosa, Crockfords Tower this time. I thought it was quite nice, though there were comments about the suite rooms being too small. The service was good, and the staff all attentive.

At the lobby – his and hers naked bodies… and on the right, on the Festive Walk –

And this is my first time in the casino –

At some point we went to Culina at Dempsey for tea … coffee is very good… and I have tried the burger before, which is really good too.

And after much food – there was MORE food – we had dinner at Ooi. It was delicious. They sit only about 30 persons in the tiny restaurant. The chef and his wife make a wonderful team. These are only some of the items being served –

  • RM101.00 Bak Kut Teh for 3 persons @ Pao Xiang, Pavillion KL

V: What would you like for lunch?
Me: The bak kut teh at Pavillion.
V: Can we go somewhere cheaper if you plan to have BKT?
Me: No – I want to eat in place with air-conditioning….. Or we could go to Klang.
V: No – Klang too far.

    So Pavillion it was.

    Pricey. For small portions.

    The chilli padi was excellent.

The soup was thick and delicious – that leaves that oily sticky feeling on your lips. They refilled your soup when it runs out.

    No sweating. Very comfortable.

  • A little more sleep with EAR PUTTY

Sleeping next to V is like being caught in a little natural disaster… rumble, rumble…. SNORE…. he is somehow able to orchestrate a thunderstorm, a gentle earthquake, a little hurricane and why not throw in a mini volcanic eruption all while he is in dreamland. I will have you know! He would kick Beethoven’s ass when it comes to putting a symphony together using just the natural elements of the world.

When my sister said she’ll be getting me some earplugs – I did a little jig! I haven’t been able to find any other types of ear plugs apart from the bright orange foam ones. Why they make it bright orange beats me – it might get lost in your ear or something.

When she handed me the ear plugs (EAR PUTTY SILICONE EAR PLUGS from TYCO Healthcare) – I almost kissed her feet.

So sleep deprived I was by this point. It had been… gosh… 2 weeks… I had once read that soldiers at war went insane because of the lack of sleep… No, I am not comparing myself to the bravery of soldiers, I wouldn’t even think of that. I was just measuring my level of sleep deprivation, on a smaller scale.

She got me two variations – the transparent ones that are whitish, and pinky transparents ones. I’ve tried them both, but I do find the pink ones softer and easier to mold to my ear. I have small ears, so I wish they were just a little smaller.

They are much much better than the foam ones!

God bless ear plugs. My sanity thanks them in abundance.

  • Breakfast at Kihei Caffe

Kihei was the closest place for us to go for our meals – and this is an amazing pancake. Obviously, it is impossible to finish ALL of it, fluffy as it may be.

  • Hawaiian Plate Lunches – another meal in Kihei

@ Da Kitchen Express, 2439 South Kihei Road.

Tasty and huge indeed! Since our friend always speaks fondly of Hawaiian plate lunches – we just had to try it! A bit on the salty side for me, but a nice first experience at a typical Hawaiian diner.
